Reading caution as stinginess
INTJ reads ESTJ's frugal hospitality as coldness and rejection, and their caution as calculating stinginess. ESTJ does not know what they did wrong.
But the first position does not reach. INTJ's "logic that carries reasoning through" is ESTJ's seventh, which they let pass; ESTJ's "practical logic" sits in the same place for INTJ. What the other values most, you know, and make light of. And the "emotion that warms the room" INTJ wants most is ESTJ's third; the "ethics of people" ESTJ wants is INTJ's third. It comes when asked, and does not last. Good as a place to rest, thin as a place to lean on. That is the shape of the illusionary relation.
The way of working differs too. ESTJ works fifteen or sixteen hours a day and demands the same dedication. INTJ has the force to push in a painful place, cannot keep that pace, and cannot work without comfortable conditions.
The definition of fairness differs too. ESTJ: "what I earned, I divide". INTJ: "your salary grows and mine does not; it is unfair". Each speaks of their own advantage as universal fairness.
