Half a sentence, and it gets through. Someone who makes the same judgement at the same speed. But one house cannot hold two leaders.
ESTP × ESTP is the Identity relation, one of the sixteen. Half a sentence, and it gets through.
Written as ESTP × ESTP it is the same pair. In 16Personalities terms, the Entrepreneur and the Entrepreneur.
The same judgement at the same moment, pushing in the same scene. Together, you think, we could move mountains.
In terms of the mechanism, the "force that pushes through" in ESTP's first position and the "logic that builds order" in the second sit in exactly the same positions in the other. The view you are best at, the other is best at too. So no explanation is needed, and so no new perspective comes from the other either. The strong places overlap, and do not double.
In the old observations, in identity the same elements of both act in the same positions, and a complete, painless repulsion arises. Since no words are needed, there is also nothing the other can hand you. For these two, foresight and people's feelings are absent on both sides.
The observation says a woman of this type errs by seeking a partner even stronger than herself. Tired of being the strong woman, she wants to be weak and loved. The partner thinks the same.
Where identity is most useful is in learning. If a senior of the same type has walked the same road ahead of you, their experience can be used as it is. The observations too say repeatedly that it lasts long as mentor and pupil or with a difference in age. Only when two equal ESTPs do the same thing in the same place does the repulsion described above arise.
Two leaders in one house, neither yielding authority.
Neither can yield authority, and the woman cannot long accept second place. Each accuses the other's errors of intuition and ethics as "irresponsible", and this type takes that accusation heavily.
The empty places are the same too. The "emotion that moves the room" ESTP wants most is what the other wants most, and neither has it. The "intuition that reads the flow", which each produces with a little effort, takes a little effort from both. What flows in silently between duals never flowed between these two in the first place.
Neither can feel protected or loved. No romance, no lyricism. Clashes of will, rigid logic, sarcasm and coarse words wear each other down, and suspicion, accusation and belittling words pile up.
If it lasts, it is only when they become calm companions at a neutral distance.
The same judgement at the same moment.
Strong. It looks as if you could join forces.
They look as if they would protect you.
They will not yield authority.
They accuse you of irresponsibility.
You do not feel protected.
A recorded case of a woman of this type choosing the same type, thinking "his strength and mine together could move mountains", and splitting because she could not accept second place.
Each accuses the other's errors of intuition and ethics as irresponsibility, and this type takes that accusation heavily, the observation says.
The relationship continues only when they become calm companions at a neutral distance, and ends if they cannot, the record says.
PROne thing for this relation
A relation that gets through from half a sentence, so experiences needing no explanation.
This pair is the identity relation, one of the sixteen. How the relation itself arises, and how to tell it from the others, is on the relation page.
ESTP on the left, ESTP on the right. Each shows where the eight elements sit; lines connect the same element. Where each line starts and ends decides what happens in this relation.
Lines connect the same element in the other person's structure. 1–2 (strong) 3 (role) 4 (vulnerable) 5–6 (wanted) 7–8 (capable, indifferent)
